Position Overview:

TechSmith’s Website Content Strategist owns the day-to-day management and maintenance of our global site residing under the techsmith.com domain. This includes owning the roadmap for continual improvements to the customer experience and content strategy/technical SEO evolutions to ensure we continue to meet or exceed our desired traffic and conversion outcomes across our portfolio of brands. This role includes management of the Content Management System (CMS), web content strategy development, webpage creation and editing, managing 3rd party tools on websites, and overseeing the success of integrations with other owned properties such as our blog and support content.

This position will serve the needs of multiple brands across our portfolio and our ideal candidate will demonstrate a track record of managing complex content strategy across an organization with diverse backend systems needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee performance of the TechSmith website to ensure it supports driving awareness of our TechSmith products through educational site content resulting in desired end-to-end customer journey and performance outcomes
  • Translate business and marketing strategies into an actionable roadmap in order to evolve our web properties to achieve desired outcomes. (this role will own establishing and reporting on the website success metrics/KPIs focused on achieving company goals)
  • Develop an advanced website content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing goals in partnership with product marketing managers
  • Update website content, navigation, and user experience utilizing the CMS and HTML while leaning to data insights/analytics to implement best practices designed to accomplish critical KPIs (increase site traffic, optimize site usability, and increase conversion rate)
  • Execute optimization experiments and A/B testing with a hypothesis-based test and learn approach
  • Manage the implementation of effective search engine optimization and coordinate keyword strategies across tactics and with outside partners
  • Collaborate with UX and external venders to identify opportunities for us to distinguish our website content, design and experience from the competition and keep website modernized using global best practices
  • Partner with IT to troubleshoot issues, ensure ongoing security and technical integrity
  • Maintain strong ownership of the tools and system frameworks. Ensure resolution of issues as they arise, with an eye towards streamlining processes.
  • Perform all other duties as may be assigned.

Required Skills and Background:

  • 5+ years professional experience in website management, web content strategy, and technical SEO
  • Experience working in digital and content management systems
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML
  • In-Depth knowledge of website marketing strategy and site optimization best practices including A/B testing techniques and modern customer experience standards like personalization techniques
  • In-Depth knowledge of Google Analytics, and SEO tools like Google Search Console, Semrush, etc.
  • Experience working and building relationships with internal cross-functional groups and external agencies/vendors
  • Strong quantitative analytical ability and excellent communication skills

Preferred Skills and Background:

  • Working knowledge of Google Tag Manager
  • Knowledge of CSS, Javascript
  • Experience in writing conversion optimized content, Storybrand training a plus
