staff Accountant 🔥


Job Description: As an integral team member of the Accounting Team, our Staff Accountant performs operational accounting functions to ensure the accuracy of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances and other financial results. Core Expectations:
  • Prepare journal entries and provide supporting documentation for assigned tasks during the close, such as recording accruals, reclassifications, Rent Amortization, Lease entries, and adjustments.
  • Maintain the Oracle Fixed Asset System assuring that balances and depreciation are accurate.
  • Review new lease agreements, create lease schedules, and set up in Oracle system appropriately.
  • Prepare account reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts. Ensure reconciling items are properly documented, resolved in a timely manner and adjustments are prepared.
  • Prepare fluctuation analysis for Fixed Assets and related balance sheet accounts, identify trends, and ascertain reasonableness according to business activities.
  • Understand transactional workflow, be knowledgeable about the source of data and ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with business partners, FP&A and Facilities to effectively understand business activities.
  • Assist with analysis and research of variances or unusual trends.
  • Update process documentation for accounting processes assigned
  • Ensure compliance with all company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Prepare audit schedules for independent auditors including the support documentation, as requested.
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Experience and Skills
  • Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • 3+ years of experience in financial accounting and analysis
  • ERP experience a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Customer focused attitude, can develop effective relationships with business partners
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and switch gears as needed
  • Flexible work hours necessary to accommodate critical deadlines
