The Role
As Marketing Manager – Education Products, you’ll have the overall responsibility of strategic planning, leading, executing, and reporting of one major annual conference/tradeshow as well as national summits. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the development and the hands-on implementation of strategies to maximize exposure and conference attendance, as well as the management of and hands-on execution of projects and marketing campaigns. This individual will partner with conference meeting planners, conference chairs, sales, customer service and other internal company-wide teams as well as third-party teams and tools to build the brand(s) and secure maximum attendance.
The ideal candidate will be motivated, analytically minded, detail-oriented, creative, proactive, and quality- and strategically driven with an ability to implement tactically.
Here’s what you’ll be doing
- Prepare annual marketing budget.
- Coordinate execution of the marketing plan ensuring all deliverables are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality. Write creative and compelling marketing copy.
- Manage all related marketing initiatives, ensuring content is relevant, user-focused and current.
- Review and proof-read all print and e-marketing collateral for quality, brand alignment and messaging consistency. Serve as liaison with internal designers on creation of marketing campaigns.
- Create targeted lists for campaigns through data mining and segmentation of internal and external databases. Manage customer database.
- Activate marketing programs, including social media and digital campaigns.
- Use ongoing campaign analysis to provide better targeting and more cost-effective campaigns.
- Provide weekly reports and analysis of marketing campaigns and attendance numbers to VP of Marketing; communicate key findings and make suggestions on future activity based on those findings.
Develop ongoing reports and analysis to determine effectiveness of each campaign as well as recommendations for future campaigns.
What we’re looking for
- BA/BS degree in Marketing degree or related field
- Minimum of 2 years B2B marketing experience; events/conferences marketing background
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Ability to travel

· Strong leadership skills including ability to lead and collaborate with internal teams without formal reporting relationships
· Ability to drive ideas from concept to quality and timely completion through superior organizational, project management and leadership skills
· Demonstrated experience and knowledge in best practices in digital, email and direct mail campaign deployment, including list management
· Excellent written communication skills; experienced copywriter across a wide variety of different marketing channels, including direct mail, email, web, and print advertising
· Excellent analytical skills to suggest changes to active campaigns based on ROI
· Understanding of Google Analytics

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
