POSITION TITLE: SALES REP / ASSOCIATE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

DEPARTMENT: INSTITUTIONAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT





    POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor degree or equivalent in a business related field required; Master’s degree, CFA, or CMFC preferred
    • Experience in financial services or sales field required; Minimum of 2-3 years of sales experience in the financial services industry preferred.
    • Knowledge of the financial markets required
    • In-depth knowledge of Federated Hermes’ financial products and competitor’s products required
    • Knowledge of quantitative mutual fund investment techniques and terminology preferred
    • Must possess/obtain FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 immediately

    ** The experience level of the candidate will determine the level of position as Sales Representative or Associate Sales Representative.**

    MAJOR DUTIES:

    • Work in partnership with Sales Representative to drive sales and support current business with Texas specific client.
    • Conduct sales calls face-to-face and via telephone to solicit business, identify needs and explain Federated Hermes’ investment products and processes.
    • Work with Director and Sales Representative to write business plan as appropriate.
    • Develop long-term relationships with customers and prospects.
    • Attend industry conferences and seminars as needed.
    • Entertain clients and prospects as appropriate.
    • Respond and react to incoming inquiries from existing/prospective clients and investors regarding Federated Hermes’ products, services and sales ideas.
    • Build a comprehensive knowledge of the client base, investment products, marketing campaigns, and information about Federated Hermes’ key competitors.
    • Act as backup to the Sales Representative when needed, which can include both telephone follow-up as well as on-site client meetings.
    • Work closely with Sales, Marketing and Support to assure proper client servicing.
    • Participate in sales and product seminars/training to fully develop professional skills.
    • Participate in regional meetings, national sales meetings, due diligence meetings, etc.
    • Remain current with industry trends and continuously develop sales skills and product knowledge.
    • Participate in supporting Sales Representative and reaching department production goals.
    • Perform other duties as required; travel, irregular work hours and possible relocation are job requisites.
    • Listen to monthly conference calls or calls relevant to your market.

    HOURS/LOCATION:

    • 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (overtive as required)
    • Location: Field office in Texas
    • Territory includes: Texas
    • Must be open to irregular hours, heavy travel
