This opportunity is at the center of redefining the Zillow app and site experience to help customers successfully navigate through their complex real estate journey. The team is responsible for crafting an end to end experience where buyers sellers and renters have access to an ecosystem of coordinated services and technologies to make progress towards their move. We work with the different lines of businesses (Agent connection, Mortgage, Sell, and Rent) to streamline our app and site navigation and offer guidance to customers to their next step to close on their next home.

About the role

You will lead the work to redesign our app and site navigation, and build a guide to help buyers, renters, sellers transact with Zillow. You’ll have a ton of visibility in the company, and you’ll be empowered to change the trajectory of your product and directly impact business growth.

Are you looking for a zero to 1 role where you own the vision, strategy and execution of key features? In this role you will push the boundaries of the real estate market and play a primary role in enabling customers with a digital access to mortgage touring and selling services. You will be the bridge across different organizations and LOB to drive a cohesive experience and make trade off decisions. You will interact with leadership to provide updates and drive alignments on plans.

You Will Get To:

  • Define vision, strategy, and features on Zillow apps and web

  • Work with design, research and product marketing teams to envision the future of digital real estate transaction

  • Build business cases, write PRDs, establish success metrics, and communicate the impact of shipped products and features

  • Drive the team roadmap and product features from concept through validation, launch and iteration

  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize the right problems and make trade-off decisions balancing user needs and business goals

  • Build cross-team and cross-functional relationships to advocate for your team’s roadmap, keep partners informed, gather input, and influence thinking

  • Communicate the team's progress and success through all levels of the company - including executives

  • Work with highly capable developers to ship products in an agile, fast-paced environment

  • Run AB experiments to validate your hypothesis, learn and iterate

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $164,800.00 - $263,200.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • A demonstrated track record of prioritizing, launching, and iterating on successful customer facing products.

  • Have experience as a technical PM, working on customer facing product (building features on mobile platforms highly desirable)

  • The ability to build strong relationships to lead through influence, align partners, and inspire cross-functional teams

  • Strong product instincts with an uncanny ability to intuit users’ needs, problems, and mental models

  • Understand sophisticated technical designs and champion technical shifts and discussions during sprint and planning meetings

  • Success balancing customer and business impact

  • Comfort with ambiguity and a natural tendency to put structure to complexity and disarray

  • Experience A/B testing and using data to find the signal in the noise to make informed product decisions

  • Clear, concise, and through written and verbal communication skills

  • A bias to ownership and progress for the products and initiatives you lead
