Sales Manager - Biopharma

Job Summary

This position will be based in Thailand and has accountability and authority for both direct and distributor sales activities in Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, and Cambodia. He/She will develop new business opportunities in accordance with business unit strategy. Responsible for opportunity identification and qualification, as well as proposing new creative solutions and strategies to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth.


  • To lead day-to-day sales, marketing, and business development for Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, and Cambodia
  • Lead in the execution of the territory sales/marketing plan to effectively promote and sell Avantor & VWR products
  • Identify and satisfy customer requirements by communicating the value of Avantor products.
  • Establish strong business relationships with our distributors and key customers.
  • Develop, train, manage and motivate our distribution channel on products and services.
  • Implement sales opportunities with application engineers and manage the process (if a need arises).
  • Managing, developing and renewing existing dealer/client opportunities.
  • Support development marketing plans to achieve objectives set out.
  • Maintains awareness of business and market environment and competitors’ activities.
  • Execution of functions according to company credit policies. Any other assignments given by supervisor towards positive contributions to the success of the company.
  • Engaging with all Thai Zone Biopharma customers to deliver Biopharma workflow solutions from Process Chemicals, Excipients, Serum and Single use solutions.
  • Contribute to the SEAT Biopharma growth strategy by engaging with SEAT Biopharma team & customers.
  • Collaborate with Biopharma Business unit to deliver the right level of expertise within assigned territories.


  • Relevant degree and/or professionally recognized science/marketing qualification.
  • 8-10 years or more relevant experiences.
  • Good leadership and research skills.
  • Experience in handling Biopharma customers.
  • Experience in channel management.


  • Passion in liaising with internal and external customers
  • A team-player who can multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be highly personable; possess excellent influential leadership and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented personality, excellent personal organization and time management skills
  • Solution selling, negotiations skills, managing major accounts


Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.

A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.

Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.

30-50% business travel may be required
