Capture Specialist

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

The Capture Specialist will support the Business Development (BD) Team by establishing activities throughout the full lifecycle of an opportunity. This includes maturing qualified opportunities through the capture process and helping support opportunities through the proposal process.

This is an independent contractor position.

Key responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and develop relationships with existing and prospective clients to achieve sales goals and event goals
  • Collaborate with the team on strategic client and growth strategies as well as makes use of tools and platforms to enable effective growth and increased efficiencies
  • Oversee projects to support sales, operations, and client-relations, and may pitch strategies and proposals for unique projects
  • Manage clients' records with feedback from specialists and the sales team, and also create and update watch-and-follow lists
  • Track competitors, trends, challenges, and opportunities for sales
  • Document interactions and scheduled time in organizational software
  • Negotiate and facilitate sales and outreach activities
  • Support in the completion of capture activities and action items, for building the capture team and holding kick-off meetings, and for all capture team resources as well as receiving the approval and buy-in of the company’s key decision-makers
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • With marketing experience in the construction, engineering and architecture industries
  • Willing to undergo the capture management experience
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools, including SharePoint
  • Team player and willing to being the point person for coordinating team efforts
  • Ability to quickly and effectively learn new tools
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Able to work under pressure and in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Must lawfully reside in the United States and eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits)
