The Role
The Senior Visual Designer is responsible for bringing design solutions to life that adhere to marketing strategies and business goals. You will be responsible for designing a variety of materials, including but not limited to, website design, wireframes, customer ads, presentations, e-mails, creative a/b tests, and more across Sojern. You flourish in a dynamic, ever-changing, and deadline-driven environment and are a natural collaborator and a phenomenal communicator, developing and presenting design ideas in a team environment.
You must be highly receptive to feedback and creative direction and demonstrate the ability to pivot quickly to meet the demands of the team. With a strong understanding of design, you are constantly looking for new ways to enhance the design of each project and ‘deliver-wow’ to our customers. You are comfortable working within established brand guidelines as well as finding new and interesting ways to express the brand within those guidelines.
As the Senior Visual Designer, you are an expert in layout, production, proofing, and delivery, and manage your work to the highest possible standards for all assets across mediums.

Responsibilities
Create outstanding design solutions that bring our travel marketing platform story to life across a variety of marketing channels, including print, web, email, social media, presentations, events, and more
Follow Sojern brand standards and assist in the development of graphic standards, templates, and guidelines to ensure Sojern branding remains consistent
Assists with the development and implementation of new processes and procedures
Understand the business objectives, requirements, and project goals and provide recommendations on ways to improve our marketing materials to help us reach those goals
Focus on user-centered design principles to create intuitive, highly functional, and interactive designs
Proactively recognize UX/UI accessibility gaps in designs and propose solutions
Work closely with cross-functional teams listening to needs, coming up with ideas, and presenting creative solutions
Facilitate creative a/b test plans and communication of results
Apply conceptual strategy, lead brainstorming sessions, and manage projects to completion
Work self-sufficiently across multiple projects without sacrificing quality or accuracy
Review other designers’ work to ensure we’re putting out high-quality designs
Train and mentor team members
Design HTML5 and static display banner ads for client campaigns as needed
Video shortening and basic video editing
Requirements
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Interaction Design, or related subject
5-7 Years experience in Graphic Design, Web Designer, or Interaction Design field
Thorough understanding of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma
Solid visual design expertise in typography, layout, color, and branding
Demonstrate reasonable complex troubleshooting
Familiarity with accessibility standards, inclusive design practices, and accessibility features on across all operating systems
Possess problem-solving skills, an investigative mentality, and a proactive nature-committed to delivering solutions
Advanced knowledge of user-centered design principles
Great team player who is open to constructive feedback
Proficient in keeping up with visual design technologies and industry trends
Must be highly detail-oriented and self-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project milestones and deadlines
Bonus Points
Fluent in more than one language
Scrum certified
Experience working in travel or for a B2B company
Knowledge of CSS, HTML, and JavaScript
Experience with Webflow, Asana, Marketo, Hotjar, Google Products, After Effects, and/or Premiere Pro
