Provide support to organization-wide policy documents and develop newsletters in order to support the WO mission to provide for the recruitment, retention, professional development, and administration of a highly qualified and diverse workforce.

Qualifications


  • Seeking a SME/Senior Tech Writer to support WO communications and work directly with the client.
  • Provide support to organization-wide policy documents and develop newsletters in order to support the WO mission to provide for the recruitment, retention, professional development, and administration of a highly qualified and diverse workforce.
  • Deliverable examples: position description, policy re-write and/or commentary/analysis, slide decks for WO events, newsletters, detail announcements, WO event announcements, etc.
  • Create and copy edit different content types simultaneously (i.e., formal reports, user guides, strategies, articles, SharePoint materials, and related communications deliverables) to improve readability, adhere to style and format conventions, and increase concision; must plan and execute these activities in coordination with a range of stakeholders depending on the content type.
  • Translate technical and complex content to non-technical or senior executive audiences
  • Think creatively and use client management skills to develop and drive a communication strategy to promote awareness of an organization's mission, priorities, and work products to stakeholders

Required:


  • BS degree
  • US Citizen, must be able to obtain a Public Trust
  • Communicate broadly in plain, organized English, clearly, and effectively
  • Individual will need to clear client's precise writing style in order write products to their specifications and rewrite products coming to the client for review.


Preferred skills:


  • 3 years experience
  • Experience providing support in a technical client environments, focused on cybersecurity and data management missions, and advising clients on approaches to socialize their mission, value, and work products
  • Working proficiency and familiarity in cybersecurity, challenges, language, and mission context is helpful but not required.
