At Alight, Sales Enablement and Effectiveness is a vital function that is key to driving organizational alignment, contributing to pipeline acceleration and deal conversation and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of commercial teams.

Leading the function, the Sales Enablement and Effectiveness Director will function as an integrating role between sales, marketing, product, and operations. Partnering with the sales team and other key stakeholders, you will develop and execute impactful, data-driven solutions to support building the skills of the sales teams and shortening the path to proficiency. This role will lead the design and execution of enablement programs and initiatives for global, client-facing commercial and supporting teams (such as: Account Executives, Sales Executives, and Solutions Architects).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owns the sales enablement strategy, including sales team onboarding, development, and process optimization.
  • Determine enablement priorities with sales stakeholders and maintain the roadmap of sales initiatives. Gathers and relays feedback to continuously iterate on enablement strategy
  • Lead and develop a team of training and program managers to create learning, content, communication, and resources to drive growth and success.
  • Drives cross-functional alignment between commercial, product, operations and product marketing to drive consistency throughout the seller and buyer journey.
  • Provides effective onboarding and training programs for commercial teams with focus on outcomes, application and reinforcement.
  • Use data to identify knowledge or skills gaps. and drive measurable program outcomes
  • Works closely with senior sales leaders to define optimal performance measurement for programs

Skills & Competencies

  • 10+ years working in a B2B or technology/SaaS organization in sales, sales enablment, operations or equivalent function with significant exposure to global sales teams.
  • 5+ years in sales product training design and delivery
  • 5+ years with sales processes and methods (e.g., Challenger, MEDDIC, Value Selling, Gap Selling, etc.)
  • 3-5 years with sales software or technology (Salesforce.com, Zimit, Zoominfo, Outreach, etc.)
  • 3+ years with sales enablement technology selection and implementation (Seismic, Mindtickle)
  • Education background in business, communication, and/or education, or like field
  • History of strong program and project management skills
  • Stellar communication skills such as: listening, verbal, influencing, written, and presentations
  • Superior skills in content creation tools such as PowerPoint are essential
  • Graphic design exposure would also be beneficial
  • Ability to quickly grasp business needs, issues and build relationships will be critical

Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere in between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $155,000.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $168,000.00/year (for full time employees). In addition to a base salary, this position may be bonus eligible.
