Job Description:
SENIOR COPYWRITER, NONPROFIT & EDUCATION
Our client is one of the fastest growing CRM cloud based tech companies in the world. This senior copywriter position supports their Nonprofit and Education creative team.
This Copywriter is someone whoโs driven, creative, collaborative, and excited to make an impact in the social good space (nonprofits and schools). They ideally have experience in both the B2B and B2C spaces, but if not, are willing to expand their horizons.
This person can not only create intelligent, original, and effective content, but can develop it within a business strategy.
In this role, you will work closely with our designers and project managers to devise copy of all lengths โ from short-form headlines to long-form reports โ for all projects that pass the Brand and Creative teamโs desk!

Keys to success:
Work independently and as part of the creative team, typically including an art director and designer, to deliver excellent work on every aspect of a project
Flex across subject matter and wear multiple hats, thinking beyond what it means to be a copywriter and working alongside designers in their day-to-day role
Use Slack and Salesforce tools to collaborate and execute work remotely, comfortably communicate via text-based and video chats
Understand the business and industry of our target audience: professionals in the nonprofit and education (including K-12 and higher education) space
Be in perpetual state of learning, always trying to understand the landscape of our industries and our competitors, and constantly honing your writing and conceptual craft
Bring an attitude of humility, integrity and fun to your work and leadership
Remain positive and be decisive with a bias toward action during times of ambiguity, take initiative to move forward, and seek the required project information
Participate effectively in all necessary internal and external meetings โ briefings, status, brainstorming sessions, and presentations
Can prioritize projects to manage multiple tasks at once; able to work with project management to meet all deadlines
Present and sell the creative work
Provide a point of view and express it well
Develop a creative strategy, finding opportunities within a project to build content and provide value
Maintain strong, trusted relationships with all members of the Creative team, as well as members of the Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Web, and other cross-functional teams
Manage all information and updates (pertaining to copy) from start to finish
Accept and effectively incorporate partner and peer feedback into work, revising as needed
Be able to defend good copy and decisions
Work quickly and effectively under tight deadlines
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
Minimum of 3+ years experience
We welcome individuals from non-traditional writing backgrounds who are able to set themselves up as holistic creatives interested in influencing the process from start to finish
You have an established portfolio that displays long-term client relationships, integrated campaigns, and effective, compelling writing
Strong conceptual skills
Experience with corporate marketing and branding, and a clear understanding of marketing strategies and concepts
Strong presentation skills, and outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to interpret creative direction, and a willingness to learn
Comfort with ambiguity and change
Experience writing both print and web copy
Experience writing long-form/journalistic copy
Strong proofing/copy editing skills are desirable
