Digital Pr and Outreach Specialist

The Motley Fool’s mission is “To make the world smarter, happier, and richer." For 25 years that has meant providing impartial and informed investment recommendations with a healthy dose of personal finance guidance on the side. Ever the insatiable Fools that we are, our coverage continues to expand as we seek to empower everyone with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to attain financial freedom.

We launched The Blueprint, a Motley Fool brand, in 2019 to provide individuals with objective, expert, and unbiased business advice. So far we’ve been tackling the software industry, providing readers with ratings and reviews for products within the CRM, CMS, Accounting, Payroll, and Email Marketing verticals. There’s some good (and a lot of bad) advice out there, and we’re cutting through the noise that often leaves people confused or unsure about their own business decisions. We’re growing quickly and will continue to expand our content into new areas and new verticals.

So now that you know who we are at The Blueprint, let’s talk about you. The Blueprint team is looking for a Digital PR and Outreach Specialist with a passion for media relations and external outreach. This is a hybrid PR and SEO role. Your primary objective is to increase traffic and build awareness of The Blueprint brand. You’ll develop and execute a media placement content strategy and perform extensive outreach to journalists, media outlets, site managers and administrators via email, social media, phone, and carrier pigeon (cruelty-free). You will work closely with the SEO strategist and Content team to facilitate link acquisition and organic traffic-led campaigns by acquiring placements and citations across a variety of industries. Your results should be measurable and scalable. Most importantly, you are an ego-free and entrepreneurial self-starter looking to ‘roll up your sleeves” and join a high-growth operation.
