Copywriter
Overview
12 Month Contract to Hire
- They want a ‘pocket writer’ for the creative team & designers. Essentially taking a lot of the extra load off the existing writers in the creative & content teams
Responsibilities:
- Event materials, scripts for videos, emails, other print materials (but not as much)
- Helping word presentations (mostly internal)
- Would work on a separate team from the proofreader
- The copywriter would sit within the creative team primarily
- A lot of the work would come from internal stakeholders
- Pad lines, naming exercises, short form for social media
Qualifications:
- Someone who can think outside the box – a person with a journalism background might not be the best fit. They want someone with who’s primarily a marketer first
- Agency background might be a little more preferable than other backgrounds besides FS
- Financial services is a +
- Writers who have more experience with shorter form copy
- Experience performing on campaigns, minus the need to handle a whitepaper for example.
- 2-5 years of experience necessary, preferably closer to 5
- Portfolio samples major +
Process:
- This candidate can also sit in any of the 3 locations, but preferably not in Wilmington
- In person in one of the 3 locations, then a video conference call based on location
Notes:
- Long term opportunity here to become full time after 12 months. Looking to expand their team
- Based in Chicago, Philly, and Wilmington. Most of the team is in Chicago, but most senior folks are in DE
- Copywriter can sit in any of those locations. Working hours revolve somewhat around the folks in Chicago, an hour behind
