About the Role

As a Graphic Designer on the Creative Team, you’ll report directly to the VP of Design and be responsible for developing creative concepts and assets for K-SQUARED STRATEGIES’ clients. From defining the brand and visual language for our clients to applying existing brand guidelines to new creative assets, you’ll help our clients execute marketing campaigns that drive results. Graphic Designers work closely with our Production, Content Strategy, Marketing and Web Development leads to ensure design is cohesive and impactful across all initiatives.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and deliver creative assets for K-SQUARED STRATEGIES clients, including:

Social Media assets – organic and paid media

Presentations (formats: PPT, Slides, Keynote)

Marketing collateral (e.g., onesheets, brochures, case studies)

Websites (Squarespace template setup and build, or Photoshop high fidelity mockups for handoff to developers)

·    Create new and develop existing brand identity for clients, including:

Logo development

Palette & font development

Brand guidelines

 

Required or Preferred Certifications: Vocational, BA/BFA/BS degree, or equivalent evidence of strong deadline-driven accountability

Experience: 5+ years of relevant graphic design experience with a premium brand, agency, or consultancy, ideally for both B2C and B2B brands.

Skills / Minimum Qualifications:

Excellent eye: A well-developed sense of proportion, balance and visual impact based on experience and the ability to adjust against client needs and desires

Program expertise: High proficiency in the Adobe Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator; Proficiency in PPT, Google Slides, Keynote.

Communication: Ability to assess project needs quickly and ahead of production, and to be able to communicate needs efficiently. Ability to incorporate design feedback but also to defend your design decisions to the creative team.

Accountability: Meeting deadlines is a team effort that requires on-time delivery of assets and the ability to ask for help when there is a problem.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Business mindset: A graphic designer who doesn’t just execute the brief, but also wants to understand the client’s goals and business in order to inform and shape the brief

Detail-oriented: Meticulous attention to detail (e.g., are file names correct? Does the asset meet the specs? Are any necessary specs missing?)

·      Animation: The ability to create simple GIFs or animated video content is a plus

·      Illustration: The ability to create custom icons or hand-drawn assets is a plus

Location: Remote

Job Structure: W-9; 10 hours a week with opportunity to scale to more
