The GB Consultancy team provide a seamless range of advisory, research and bespoke consulting services to support organisations through their business and financial planning, strategy development, commercial/regulatory due diligence, policy design, risk management and regulatory assessments. The location: We have offices in Norwich and London with the flexibility of home working if preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new Customers at service user, influencer, and decision maker level so we understand how to respond to changing needs
- Execute customer growth strategies on a sectoral basis reflecting the Cornwall Insight’s customer persona-based approach
- Deliver targeted financial growth from retention, upsell and new sales
- Work with marketing to maximise our market outreach
- Working knowledge and understanding of your market specialism and ability to relate those to the skills of colleagues
- Ability to work across teams with colleagues to provide the optimum mix of services for customers
- Responsible for successful provision of services through the CRM for your clients and prospect
- Reporting on your sales and renewal activity to your manager in a timely and responsible manner
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Essential: Enthusiasm to learn how the energy industry will impact adjacent sectors and organisations
- Essential: Inquisitive mind, interested in understanding the complex mix of challenges and opportunities facing a customer’s transition to a net zero business model
- Essential: Desire to own and lead on target companies and exceed expectations, with curiosity to find solutions and deliver results to customers
- Essential: Demonstrable experience and aptitude for managing complex solution based solutions to customer needs
- Essential: Strong commercial acumen and experience building customer propositions with support from a multi-skilled team
- Experience of working within a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial, growth culture
- Collaborative working with colleagues from service delivery teams in Cornwall Insight to ensure all customers receive the best possible experience
- Outstanding relationship builder
- Proven experience listening to customer needs managing customer accounts and relationships
- Ability to steward customers and prospective customers to close new business
- Understanding of buyer mentality and needs
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all mediums
- Strong organisational and planning skills with an eye for detail and accuracy
