Copywriter 🔥
The Copywriter's primary function is to deliver both marketing and conceptual content on-time and in-line with client's project or campaign brief. This entails establishing on-going and frequent contact with a number of stakeholders such as client services, account management and art directors by communicating conceptual and creative visions, managing projects and their details, and reviewing project deliverables for accuracy and quality.
The Copywriter is responsible for understanding project objectives and has the ability to translate them into messaging that meets or exceeds client/project expectations.
Responsibilities
Creative Services
- Ability to concept ideas and exercise strategic thinking for client digital/email projects in partnership with senior team members
- Be able to take the lead in generating copy for individual messages and multi-message campaigns
- Ability to tell a concept story by developing strategic messaging that drives thoughtful high quality creative which meets or exceeds client objectives
- Take ownership for copy during the creative process
- Manage multiple projects at a time and execute against tight deadlines
- In a nutshell You need to build the house and figure out the plumbing…taking your great concept and knowing how to flesh out copy that is spot on and flows well into the design your art director partner is simultaneously creating
- Develop compelling concepts, subject lines, preheader text, headlines, subheads, copy and calls to action as needed, always emphasizing the benefits to the reader
- Integrate concepts and quality standards into email to reflect marketing objectives
- Comfortable presenting concepts internally and externally
- Understand and follow up as needed on client's creative briefs and requests
- Work with the client services and account team to determine the level of information that should be communicated to clients.
- In a nutshell Know there will be times that your idea – no matter how great it is – just may not fly with the client or that your stellar copy has to be tweaked a number of times
- You will be working with people who take their work seriously but do not take themselves seriously

- Be proactive when working with team members….. Actually, be proactive with everything!
- Bachelor of arts degree with an emphasis on communication, English or similar discipline preferred
- 3-4 years of agency professional experience
- Conceptual/Strategic thinker
- Retail experience a plus
- Email experience a plus
- Creative portfolio/writing samples required as part of application
