We are building a new service that will dramatically change the interaction model at AWS and you can be a founding member of this team. We are building a diverse team to develop a new innovative service that already has customer demand and will be used across AWS.We are looking for a Senior front-end engineer to design and build customer experiences that redefine customer interaction and work across multiple Amazon web services. The ideal candidate is passionate about building user experiences and has a track record of building interfaces which are beautiful in form, function, and simplicity. The ability to work within a creative and positive team environment are key to the role.Key job responsibilitiesAs a Senior Front End Engineer at AWS Platform, you will:define, design, prototype, and build these experiences. To achieve this, you will collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and multiple service teams.challenge and mentor other engineersCode with confidence, supported by continuous builds, tests, a constructive code-review process, and a supportive culture of identifying and fixing bugsYou are passionate about building user experiences and have a track record of building interfaces which are beautiful in form, function, and simplicity. In addition to formal mentors, we work and train together so that we are always learning from one another, and we celebrate and support the career progression of our team members.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)5+ years of professional front end developmentSkilled with common web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and NodePreferred QualificationsExperience in establishing an inclusive and diverse team cultureExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to a wide variety of audiencesDemonstrated ability to take a new initiative from scoping requirements through launchExperience in modern web development with HTML5, CSS3.0, and Javascript frameworks (React, Vue, AngularJS)Experience calling API back-ends, including REST/RPC/GQL endpoints.Experience in user experience best practices, including accessibility, internationalization, wireframes.The base pay range for this position is $168,100-250,200/ yr. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
