Marketing Specialist Role

We are seeking a dynamic, self-starting, and sales-minded marketing professional to implement broad-based awareness and account-based marketing activities in the United States and Canada. This is an ideal role for a creative problem solver who sees opportunity in ambiguity and thrives in an environment that encourages and supports growth.

Responsibilities

  • Implement a multi-channel lead-generating marketing strategy for the region based on the corresponding academic calendar, including any holidays to take into consideration and opportunities to promote JoVE
  • Responsible for email marketing within North America - disseminating campaigns including new product announcements, onboarding emails, trial support, etc.
  • Support key sales initiatives in the region and implement bespoke marketing campaigns based on specific account needs
  • Create marketing collateral and assist sales with collateral coordination
  • Testimonial outreach to scientists, faculty, and librarian audiences
  • Look out for topics of discussion within the covered region that we can get involved in, either with a themed collection, on social media, or with a blog post/Q&A
  • Help organize/host webinars and regional conferences (where applicable and travel permitting) throughout the covered region
  • Report and analyze campaigns for effectiveness and efficiency

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • 2-3+ years of experience in B2B or Digital Marketing
  • Experience working with inbound Marketing Software (Hubspot) or marketing email provider (Constant Contact, MailChimp, etc)
  • Working knowledge of CRM (Salesforce) is preferred
  • A desire to be a part of a team developing outreach campaigns resulting in new or expanded business is required
  • Excellent communication skills are required
  • Experience with demand generation, lead nurturing, and/or ABM (Account-Based Marketing) is required
  • Marketing/internship experience or working knowledge within Publishing, Ed-tech, or science is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
