Events Producer

Zurich is seeking an Event Specialist at the Mid or Senior Level to work out of our North American Headquarters located in Schaumburg or Chicago, IL. We are also open to hiring remotely for the right candidate.
Looking for a detail oriented, enthusiastic event producer to join the Zurich North America event team. This role will support our business partners in driving all aspects of event execution including event strategy, logistical planning, and on-site production. They will align event strategy with the company’s overall strategic growth plan and will ensure each event achieves its full return on investment. The Event Specialist will collaborate, coordinate, and support the planning and management of events for all Zurich North America business partners. They will support external clients in order to support and execute the overall goals and strategy of the business.
Job Accountabilities:
  • Translate event objectives into clearly defined plans, costs, or schedules in order to support the delivery of high-quality events.
  • Responsible for actively contributing in the planning and managing of events for assigned business partners as well as external clients and act as liaison for their event-related requests.
  • Within the scope of agreed upon objectives, executes on deliverables related to managing partnerships, registration sites, budgets, event calendar, event communication, on site activation and coordinate external suppliers in order to provide the highest quality of event services (within a pre-defined budget).

Execute the planning and coordination of complex events for assigned clients, including:
  • Pre-program planning and process management
  • Internal client management
  • Attendee Management
  • Concept, idea and agenda generation
  • Budget preparation
  • Venue / site evaluation and selection
  • Vendor Management
  • On-Site Management
  • Contract negotiation
  • Plan and manage live webcast
  • Establishment and maintenance of project communications with manager, internal team and clients, Accounting, Creative Services, and event vendors (production, photography, travel).
  • Contribute to the annual IT Security & Risk projects regarding external webcasts.
  • Plan strategically to include assessment and management of risk within project.(crisis management planning)
  • Regular reporting of event status to client and manager, evaluation of event successes, and identification of areas for improvement in accordance with the agreed reporting schedule.
  • Implementation and day to day management of Zurich's meetings & events technology for event implementation (Cvent, Ticketmanager, and Salesforce)

This role will be filled at either the Mid level or Senior level Event Specialist. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.
Required Qualifications – Mid level Event Specialist:
  • Bachelors Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Administrative or Event Planning area
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Event Planning area
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Event Planning area}

Required Qualifications – Senior Event Specialist:
  • Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Event Planning area
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Event Planning area
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Event Planning area
  • 5 years event marketing/management experience
  • Experience working with senior executives on an international basis

Applicable Only to Jobs to be Performed Remotely in any US state:
The salary range for this role at the Mid level Event Specialist is $60,800-$76,000. The salary range for this role at the Senior level Event Specialist is $79,700-$99,600. This is the range Zurich NA in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of the posting. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed remotely in any US State. Base pay offered may vary depending on, but not limited to education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also bonus eligible. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
