Our mission is to deliver an effective, and loved user experience that makes it easy for all users to discover, learn, and build on AWS. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded professional and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future.Basic Qualifications5+ years of hands-on experience in front-end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSSIn-depth understanding of accessibility standards and best practices, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)Experience with assistive technology (e.g., screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice recognition) in conducting accessibility testingKnowledge of professional software engineering practices in the software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operationsComputer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures and algorithmsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experiencePreferred QualificationsTrack record of delivering accessible, stable, performant, secure and scalable front-end softwareExperience with any major JavaScript framework, TypeScript and Node.jsExperience instrumenting applications with real user metrics to reflect the customer experienceStrong communication skills, and experience mentoring other engineersIAAP WAAS certification (nice to have, but optional)The base pay range for this position is $168,100-250,200/ yr. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
