Social Media Specialist 🔥

The Social Media Specialist collaborates on the development of social media strategies across California Closets’ social media channels. You’ll collaborate with the Social Media team to create content that elevates the brand and product stories in new and innovative ways while aligning with brand marketing goals. In this role you will also help drive our established social media and influencer marketing campaigns to increase California Closets brand awareness and grow followers and foster content engagement within our social communities.

We’re seeking an individual who is very familiar with an array of social media channels and possesses a sharp eye for identifying and ideating concepts for social content that will resonate with our followers.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and execute social strategies and tactics to achieve brand objectives.
  • Create and deliver outstanding briefs driving social media strategy and elevating the brand across an array of social channels including but not limited to: (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Twitter, Reddit, LinkedIn).
  • Collaborate with the Social Media team to develop and implement channel strategies to better engage with our followers. Push boundaries for video on Instagram Reels to create engaging new ways to highlight the California Closets brand.
  • Convert social listening data into cohesive strategies across social media channels.
  • Collaborate with Social Team to develop and execute a micro-influencer strategy designed to improve the full marketing funnel-increasing brand awareness, engagement, consideration and conversion.
  • Assist with contract negotiation with social influencers ensuring clear scope of work and alignment on deliverables.
  • Analyze, measure, and report on all social influencer activities during and after all campaigns to evaluate value and optimize for future initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with industry emerging trends, influencers, creators, partners across these platforms to make compelling and engaging influencer content across channels.
  • Closely monitor channel KPI results against targets.
  • Proactively optimize content and campaigns based on data results.

Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Consistent track record to simultaneously project run multiple projects while meeting deadlines and holding others accountable.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills, able to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional partners on both strategy development and tactical execution.
  • Highly structured, focused, and organized; Adept at crafting structures and operational processes to ensure a consistent, repeatable outcomes.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, managing multiple priorities with tight deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4+ Years of relevant professional experience in influencer marketing, social media, eCommerce field
  • Familiarity with and usage of project management software tools (Asana, Wrike, Monday.com, Trello, Smartsheet, etc.)
  • Experience with social media monitoring, measurement and analytics tools (Sprout, Sprinklr, Later, Hootsuite, Falcon etc.)
  • Proficiency in MS office programs
  • Demonstrated experience working within social media platforms
  • Experience in crafting social campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and Reddit

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with Sprout or Sprinkler platforms
  • Some social influencer marketing experience preferred
  • Basic design experience and proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign (not required)
  • In-depth knowledge of the latest best practices, tools, and trends on social media platforms related to YouTube, Instagram, Instagram stories, IGTV, Instagram Live, TikTok, Meta/Meta Live, Pinterest, Twitter, Amazon Live etc.
