Grammarly is excited to offer a remote-first hybrid working model. Team members can work primarily remotely in the United States, Canada, Ukraine, Germany, Poland, and Portugal. Conditions permitting, teams will meet in person a few weeks every quarter at one of Grammarly's hubs, currently in San Francisco, Kyiv, New York, Vancouver, and Berlin, or in a shared workspace in Krakow.Grammarly team members in this role are required to live within a daily commutable distance to Berlin. All of this begins with our team collaborating in a values-driven and learning-oriented environment.  To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Product Manager to own Grammarly’s core spelling and grammar correction models. This role will dive deep into the details of our modeling capabilities, in addition to users’ writing needs, to make Grammarly’s AI-based suggestions even more intuitive and delightful to use. Your impact As a Product Manager for spelling and grammar correction, you’ll drive the quality and capabilities of Grammarly’s core writing suggestions. You’ll push the limits of our cutting-edge models to deliver more accurate writing assistance, reduce complex editing flows to a couple of clicks, and provide anything else needed to make Grammarly more valuable to all our users.   To achieve this goal, you’ll become the expert in state-of-the-art techniques for grammatical error correction, understanding our system’s strengths and weaknesses, and proposing elegant solutions to drive new value to users. You’ll work across the many teams building new AI-based writing suggestions to deliver a holistic, delightful experience. In this role, you will:  Dive deep into existing user research and experimental data, then develop a roadmap to deliver user value and develop state-of-the-art ML capabilities. Write product specs, think creatively about training data acquisition, design experiments, and drive execution to create new features and model improvements. Work closely with cross-functional partners to leverage our spelling and grammar correction capabilities in novel, exciting ways. Understand our existing systems’ characteristics and identify opportunities for new features to solve user problems. Evangelize your team’s vision and build alignment for it across multiple product teams. Has developed sophisticated metrics to measure the success of complex systems. Can balance competing needs between technical foundations, user goals, and product constraints. Is curious to stay on top of the latest trends and technologies in ML. Is comfortable setting product direction—can take some initial ideas on where to start and set the roadmap. Has a solid technical background, with a computer science degree or relevant work experience.
