Reporting to the Head of Content Strategy, the Content Marketer plays a pivotal role in researching and crafting world-class content marketing to fuel demand generation activities, website copy, customer marketing materials, editorial for the blog, and beyond. This is a critical role on a team of content marketing professionals with high standards. As such, we’re looking for an extremely motivated, self-starting content marketer who can take a project from ideation to execution working alongside a highly cross-functional organization. You’re likely a great fit for this role if you’re familiar with inbound marketing, have a deep passion for writing, experience creating high quality business content for the digital space, and have a portfolio of examples you can share upon request.
Responsibilities:
- Research, ideate, and create full-funnel content that fuels demand generation and marketing lifecycle activities, from SEO and keyword ranking to driving traffic, on-page
- Own content creation related to specific audience needs and topical areas of focus while executing on broader team content strategy
- Identify gaps in the marketing funnel and proactively identify opportunities for optimization with content
- Create deeply researched, long-form guides, playbooks, customer case studies, and other assets that drive growth marketing and other business goals
- Make strategic recommendations for the best format for your content and develop distribution plans for getting it in front of the right audiences, at the right time
- Drive and manage all design processes related to collateral you create
- Create detailed briefs to activate market research, deploy additional resources, and drive efficient content marketing production
Minimum Requirements:
- An updated portfolio featuring your latest work
- Minimum 7 years of experience creating content (marketing, educational or other), preferably for B2B software companies
- Demonstrated experience creating both technical and non-technical content
- Understanding of inbound and growth marketing best practices and how content supports them
- Passion for producing best-in-class content that builds brands and drives growth outcomes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Self-starting, accountable content marketer with experience working in the B2B space
- Comfortable creating and managing editorial calendars
- Ability to work with designers and other team members to distill complex processes and ideas into straightforward and actionable content for top, middle and bottom of the marketing funnel
- Knowledge of and experience with multiple content mediums, from video to podcasts and beyond
- Keen ability to develop content that’s conversational and channel-specific
- Ability to own and execute a topical content strategy and track results over time
