Overview
The Segment Marketing Lead Analyst/Campaign Management will support the Individual & Family Plans (IFP) business segment (both the Dental and Medical businesses), by executing customer acquisition strategies, custom retention strategies and assisting in the strategic development of marketing plans that support the membership and profitability goals established by the business.

This role will be responsible for supporting the marketing strategies of Cigna’s Direct-to-Consumer IFP business with a focus on direct response campaigns, customer retention, health engagement and more. You will work with our internal partners including those in Marketing Strategy, IFP Product, Cigna Brand, Creative, Digital, PR, Research, Customer Communications, Corporate Communications, Social Media, Events & Sponsorships, and Legal & Compliance – to help create marketing communications that stand out in the minds of our brokers/consultants and customers. This occasionally requires the support of external partners, too. So, you’ll develop and support relationships with marketing and advertising agencies, printers and multimedia production houses. This individual will also assist with website reviews and updates, as well compliance submissions and approvals.

This individual will have to be extremely organized and experienced in mapping out campaign flows that are well defined, have clear timelines and create accountability with all partners. This individual will need to have strong project management skills to ensure all elements of the campaign development and execution process are tracking toward deliverable dates, deadlines and major milestones. Strong acumen in Excel or a Project Management software would be required to be successful in this role.

The successful candidate will be a self-directed, proactive individual who brings a natural intellectual curiosity and appetite for action to the role and is comfortable with a fast-paced, changing environment. Candidates must be able to collaborate on the execution of their strategies and plans, and be able to demonstrate successful outcomes influencing in a matrixed environment. Healthcare experience, or experience working in a highly regulated industry highly desired. Finally, working in a dynamic, rapidly-evolving environment with multiple cross-functional partners will be required.

Responsibilities
Support the development and execution of marketing communications strategies that provide compelling reasons for brokers and customers to expand their relationship with Cigna. Focus is on the Cigna Individual Medical and Dental businesses.
Work in close partnership with Creative agency partners to deliver on business need, including the development of Project Proposals and Creative Briefs. Support and drive production schedules and budget estimates.
Work closely with key matrix partners in Segment Marketing to bring forth Cigna’s most differentiating market messages in multiple formats for sales to use in a variety of situations.
Execute e-mail and direct mail campaigns, events, presentations and other marketing tools and communications tailored to individual markets.
Continually generate ideas and opportunities to innovate, which can include process, media, tactics, messaging, and other ideas intended to improve Cigna's competitive position in marketing communications. Identify and/or support critical opportunities to communicate to internal audiences and provide editing/review support to ensure consistency of messaging.
Secure final sign-offs from subject matter experts, project owners and compliance/legal team.
Responsible for developing and socializing project schedules and creating accountability, as well as managing to the approved budget and processing invoices.
Keep current with marketing best practices and relevant industry trends.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing strongly preferred; Communication or equivalent work experience considered
3+ years of marketing, marketing communications, or advertising with specific experience managing communication strategies.
Multi-channel marketing experience on a direct-to-consumer, analytically-driven marketing team
Experience managing both internal and external creative agencies
Experience working with digital campaigns and website modifications and edits/updates
Comfort working with Compliance and Legal teams
Prior experiencing supporting the development of integrated communications plans that include both traditional and digital tactics.
Understanding of marketing communications and advertising approaches
Strong project management skills
Past organizational account management roles in an internal corporate or external agency model is a plus
Some business acumen and knowledge of business objectives
Attention to detail; organized; able to multi-task; deadline driven
Creative problem solver, who exercises good judgment in resolving
Ability to work effectively in dynamic, rapidly changing, team-based environment
Must balance high-priority, long-term projects with short-term, immediate deadlines
Proven ability to lead in a heavily matrixed environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills and executive presence
Excellent attention to detail
Health insurance industry experience a plus, but not required

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $70,400 - $117,300, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
