The Global Health and Financial Solutions team is currently seeking a Technical Writer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton’s HHS OIG Information Technology Service Desk Support and Engineering Services Program. The Technical Writer writes technical materials, such as equipment manuals, appendices, operating and maintenance instructions, training materials, etc. and assists in layout work. The Technical Writer also serves as the Knowledge Manager to promote knowledge sharing through HHS OIG’s operational business processes and systems by, among others, strengthening links between knowledge sharing and the information systems, and improving integration among information systems in the organization, to facilitate seamless exchange of information across systems. This is a full time remote position.

What you'll do:
Provide responsive, reliable, and consistent service delivery.
Independently execute technical writing activities in support of KM strategy, planning, execution, and reporting.
Write, re-write, and/or edit standing operating procedures (SOPs), technical documents, white papers, reports, and related technical publications to clearly and effectively communicate technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences.
Acquire subject knowledge through stakeholder interviews, observing performance of mission execution methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals.
Oversee preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts. Conducts quality reviews of materials for publication and distribution.

What you'll need:
High School diploma with 5-6 years of experience.

Required Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Experience executing technical writing activities in support of KM strategy, planning, execution, reporting, standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical documents, white papers, reports, and related technical publications.
Experience communicating technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences.
Subject knowledge through stakeholder interviews, observing performance of mission execution methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals.
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:
Demonstrated team leadership skills to oversee preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts and conducts quality reviews of materials for publication and distribution.
Familiarity with Health and Human Services (or their affiliated agencies) is a plus.

Colorado Salary Maximum: $111,300

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
