About the Team

The IT Asset Management Team is part of the Global IT Service Desk organization which is committed to providing exemplary IT support to DoorDash employees around the world.  This team is responsible for the intake, shipping, and ownership tracking of software and hardware IT assets.  The Asset Management Team will participate in key projects to help support the growth and success of DoorDash.

About the Role

The IT Software Asset Management Sr. Analyst will report to the Manager - IT Asset and Logistics. IT Asset Management Sr. Analyst will be working with the IT Asset and Logistics Manager in the development of policies, procedures, systems, and best practices used by the Asset Management Team.  The IT Software Asset Management Sr. Analysts will also be responsible for procuring, data gathering, tracking of software licenses, and vendor relationships. Building and maintaining the Software Asset Management lifecycle Best Practices at DoorDash.

  • Have the opportunity to be a key contributor in the  implementation of company policies, procedures, and Best Practices for Software Asset Management within Asset Management organization.
  • Work closely with the IT Asset Management and Logistics Team by ensuring Best Practices are consistently followed.
  • Operate at the lowest level of detail by engaging with cross functional business units to identify opportunities to enhance how we support our customers.
  • Track the lifecycle of IT Software Assets from purchase, manage, to retire.
  • Work closely with IT Asset Logistics Manager to align budget, purchasing and software license lifecycle management activities.
  • Review & approve new software requests and maintain Service Catalog standards. 
  • Identify, document, and report license compliance issues.
  • Work with IT management and procurement teams to optimize software licensing agreements & spend
  • Participate in software-related sourcing events and renewals, as needed.
  • Coordinate and document true-up and/or periodic internal license reviews for key vendors.
  • Provide support for projects and audits as needed.
  • Work closely and support IT Asset Management team members for all IT Asset Management activities.
  • Help build cross functional relationships and participate in building future software governance processes.

  • You have at least 4 + of IT Software Asset Management experience.
  • You are able to work independently, and are excited about building and leading the Software Asset Management activities. 
  • You have vendor management experience.
  • You have experience with managing SaaS licenses.
  • You are comfortable partnering globally with cross functional teams such as Procurement and Finance, and following established processes to submit purchase requisitions for the acquisition of new company software assets.
  • You have experience with procurement programs such as Coupa.
  • You have experience with creating reports and generating metrics on various IT Software Asset Management activities.
  • You have experience with working with large data and Microsoft or Google products.
  • You understand the importance of managing software licenses by allocating/deallocating and reuse of licenses to optimize company spend and minimize loss.
  • You have experience with mentoring other IT Asset Management team members.
  • You are familiar with service management solutions (i.e. Jira, Service Now, Zendesk, Cherwell, etc.)
  • You have great written and verbal communications skills.
  • You demonstrated experience with Software Asset Management Lifecycles, including onboarding, reclamation, contract renewals, internal and 3rd Party Audit Response
  • You experience interpreting licensing terms and conditions 
  • Your experience with license reconciliation of SaaS licensing (Microsoft (AWS), Salesforce, Adobe, etc…)

Pursuant to the Colorado Fair Pay Act, the base salary range in Colorado for this position is $110,925 - $150,075, plus opportunities for equity and commission. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
