- Produce copy (off-site articles, on-site blog posts, website content) reflecting the client’s brand voice and strategic objectives and utilizing search engine optimization (SEO) best practices
- A background in business/technical writing is preferred
- Understanding client specifications to craft copy that is on-brand
- Proofread and edit marketing materials and ad copy for clarity, style consistency, spelling, and grammar
- Keep copy consistent and identifiable for each client
- Perform research and translate complex material into clear, concise, consumer-friendly copy
- Adhering to ever-changing deadlines while consistently delivering accurate rounds of revisions
- Familiarizing yourself with clients’ products and services, target audience, and competitor activity
- Strong research skills
- Keep up to date with popular culture and industry updates
- Knowledge of AP Style and digital media best practices
- Experience in writing strong, succinct copy that is grammatically correct
- A flexible approach and willingness to adapt ideas to the needs of clients
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a copywriter in a corporate, freelance, or agency environment (preferred)
- Excellent writing skills, including the ability to write in a range of voices and styles for a variety of projects with diverse audiences
- Ability to occasionally speak with clients to gain insights around project topics
- Ability to communicate, collaborate and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment and meet deadlines
