Snapp Program Manager 🔥

We’re Looking for You:

Are you looking for work you can believe in? Do you enjoy working with energetic colleagues across the globe motivated by making the world a better place? Guided by science, TNC creates innovative, on-the-ground solutions to our world’s toughest challenges so that people and nature can thrive together. We’re looking for someone who is a motivated problem-solver, a good organizer, and a passionate advocate for our planet and its people. At TNC we strive to embody a philosophy of Work that You Can Believe in where you can feel like you are making a difference every day.

As the SNAPP Program Manager, you can move TNC’s mission forward by:

  • Running the annual Request for Proposals (RFP) [1] for funding SNAPP working group teams. You will serve as the key point-person for prospective applicants by responding regularly to the SNAPP Secretariat inbox in close consultation with the SNAPP Director and Management Team [2], liaise with the vendor for the online proposal portal to ensure technical issues are resolved in a timely manner, and coordinate updating guidance materials and resources for applicants and awarded working groups. You will help ensure SNAPP runs efficiently by participating in first-round screening applications for relevance and mission-fit.
  • Scheduling, organizing and providing follow-up for meetings of SNAPP governance bodies and SNAPP program staff and working group [3] leadership. You will provide critical support to SNAPP Board of Directors [4], Science Advisory Council [5] and Management Team meetings, as well as strategic meetings between SNAPP staff and working group leadership, scheduling, creating agendas, preparing background information and taking notes, as needed.
  • Coordinating information for contracts for working group and governance meeting arrangements. You will work closely with the Global Science Contracts Manager and Finance Specialist to ensure the smooth engagement of identified facilitators, lodging, catering, venue spaces, as well as reimbursement of participant travel expenses.
  • Maintaining SNAPP information systems, including the public facing website and shared drive. Working closely with TNC website developers and designers, you will regularly update the SNAPP website with working group achievements, new working group pages and updates to SNAPP leadership bodies, including updating the meeting attendee database. You will ensure timely organization and accessibility of SNAPP’s archives and working files on a shared Box drive.
  • Supporting the organization and management of special trainings and strategic projects. You may also support the Management Team and working groups in training and professional development for SNAPP leaders and postdocs; monitoring, evaluation and learning effort; and other projects as needed.

The location for this role is flexible within the Americas. Co-working facilities with a local TNC office are possible if the candidate lives nearby. No immigration or relocation assistance is available for this position.
