Ethos is looking for a Social Media Strategist + Content Creator to support its growing Content Marketing team. The perfect candidate will be active on social media (both personally and professionally) – smart, creative, self-motivated, and adept on multiple social media platforms. Social media strategy and writing ability is a must; an eye for design and/or graphic design capabilities are a major plus.
Although our riverfront office in downtown Westbrook, Maine is open for staff, employees are currently working in-person, fully remotely, and everything in-between as we navigate our new “normal” together.
The Social Media Strategist + Content Creator will be responsible for a mix of community management, social content creation and engagement, analytics and reporting, and of course, content writing. Being able to find and communicate a client’s unique voice is key – always looking for fresh ways to speak to their target audience.
This position works with the account services, creative and public relations teams to advise on social media, influencer marketing, content, and promotion strategy for multiple agency clients in a wide variety of industries

Things You’ll Do:
- Develop social media strategy for agency clients
- Concept and write social media content calendars
- Create visual content (photos, reels, GIFs, TikTok videos, etc.)
- Social media community management
- Social media analytics and reporting
- Work closely with the creative, PR and digital advertising teams to craft and support integrated, multi-channel campaigns
Things You Have:
- A positive, solutions-oriented approach to challenges
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Solid organizational and communication skills
- At least 2 years of experience working in content creation or social media for a business, brand or organization (agency experience is a plus!)
- An ability to utilize current and emerging social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitch, LinkedIn, Twitter and others.
- Creative thinker with a desire to constantly push the limits, try new things and proactively work to improve the user’s social experience.
- An eye for design and the ability to create visual content for social media that is innovative, elevated, and consistent in style and quality.
- Good communicator with the ability to write effectively across a broad range of topics and brand categories.
- Understanding of social media analytics and their application to client goals
- Experience with basic design (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) preferred.
- Must be good at multi-tasking with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Must be engaging and personable and remain professional in a casual working environment.
