Position Summary

AIFS is hiring for a Social Media Coordinator to join their team and help continue the success and growth of AIFS programs’ presence on social media. This position is responsible for assisting with content initiatives and community management across various platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook.

The Social Media Coordinator will assist with all elements of organic social media including but not limited to content scheduling and deployment, content development, engagement, community management, social listening, staying on top of industry trends, analytics and reporting. The Social Media Coordinator will collaborate on driving the success of social media campaigns and will report to the Manager of Social Media and Content Strategy.

This position has flexible office days out of our Stamford, CT office with the option to be remote 2-3 days per week. Typical office hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. AIFS operates on a 35-hour work week Monday through Friday.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Increase AIFS programs presence on social media, meeting or exceeding KPIs for engagement, reach, and lead generation.

  • Support daily community management for all social media platforms, help execute day-to-day tasks, elevate risks or issues as necessary.

  • Monitor social media campaign results based upon KPIs and coordinate reporting across platforms to team.

  • Ensure AIFS program styles, brand guidelines, and tone are followed to ensure digital engagement and messaging is always on brand.

  • Assist with campaign and content planning, proactively providing recommendations for copy and visuals, and provide ideas for future content.

  • Utilize project management tool to maintain a robust content calendar.

  • Use social media management tools to schedule and execute content Remain abreast of current social media tools, and identify and interpret current social media trends per each program’s target demographics.

  • Collaborate with marketing team to determine optimal social media outreach strategies to achieve department goals.

  • Assist with the creation of high-performing ad content as needed.

  • Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.


We Are Looking For Someone With:

  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • Extensive knowledge of social media platforms and awareness of relevant content.
  • The ability to learn about AIFS programs and to promote relevant opportunities to our various customer populations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organized, creative drive, strong communication skills and high standards of excellence.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced, fun environment.
  • Ability to handle many on-going projects simultaneously and pivot to time-sensitive tasks as needed.
  • Working knowledge of social media and content management tools such as Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, Canva, etc.
