The UX Designer is responsible for monitoring user experience and ensuring that websites, software programs and products are easy to use. The UX Designer uses their skills to improve ISACA.org and other ISACA web properties. The UX Designer’s primary responsibilities are to improve the user experience through the delivery of user flows, wireframe specifications, prototypes and other necessary documentation. The UX Designer also represents the voice of the customer, based on customer research, analytic data, user experience best practices and ecommerce. The ideal candidate will be a strong collaborator and have extensive experience in defining user flows, creating wireframes, prototypes and other necessary documentation to communicate the recommended user experience to stakeholders, development, creative and web operations teams.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Document the user experience as well as design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces. Collaborate with stakeholders, development, creative and web operations teams to ensure wireframes meet business goals. Partner with integrated marketing creative, copy, and design teams to define content and narrative flow within the wireframes and page flows. Closely work with the Website Product Owner to document requirements and needs for new Sitecore components and other functionality changes that require development resources. Keep SEO top of mind, ensure that proposed designs and mock ups follow SEO recommendations and best practices.
  • Work with the manager of web ops, IM leadership and the Website Product Owner to manage prioritizes, set timelines, and scope UX activities for assigned projects. Ensure tight alignment of priorities to the overarching IA and website project plan as well as the campaign calendar, business goals, and overall marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage UX research based on hypotheses and understanding of user pain points. Serve as an advocate for user research findings and provide inputs to the creative team to ensure design solutions are user-centric and business goals are met. Identify target user groups and carry out interviews or other types of inquiry (such as card sorts) to help understand user needs.
  • Partner with the Technology and Integrated Marketing designers to customize ecommerce pages. Explore ways and advocate to improve the user experience. Work with the Website and Ecommerce Product Owners to champion defining requirements for platform enhancements.
  • Share UX best practices and provide recommendations to the Web Operations Manager for ongoing site enhancements. Champion site eAccessibility.

Education & Experience:

Required Field of Study:

  • Associates Degree in Design

Minimum Years of Experience Required:

  • 5 years of experience as a UX Designer

Description of Minimum Experience Required:

  • Experience with Site Core or Enterprise CMS
  • Experience with mockup tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision and Balsamiq
  • Expert ability to understand & create user-flows, annotated wireframes and structuring content
  • Strong Collaborator, with the ability to work closely with dev and creative teams
  • Experience conducting user research, user interviews, usability tests, analyzing and applying results to customer journeys
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong grasp of eAccessibility

Preferred Field of Study:

  • BS Degree in UX Design or related field

Preferred Years of Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a UX / UI designer

Description of Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Site Core
  • Experience with Global ecommerce platform
  • Multi-lingual
  • Good understanding of color science and combinations
  • Portfolio of UX experience
