Graphic Designer 🔥


Leading media company located in West Los Angeles is seeking a Graphic Designer to join their Audience group. This is a contract role.

This individual's core responsibilities include: producing graphical assets for various content formats; enforcing and enhancing the Company brand bible; building-out Company's graphics presence across platforms; ensuring all visual, aesthetic, and graphical content adheres to the Company editorial and visual voice and upholds the brand’s design standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, design, and manage various Company visual presentations and graphics assets for short-form video production, postproduction, creative pitches, web design, social media, and more
  • Create static graphic (sized for Facebook, Twitter, IG, IG Stories), cover photos/banners and captions
  • Conceptualize and execute graphics projects across formats for social media platforms, including video, text, static and animated images, and other interactive features
  • Develop templates, storyboards or basic animatics for motion graphics and video
  • Participate in creative development process, managing multiple projects at a time
  • Illustrate concepts by designing rough layouts for review, feedback, and approval by creative and production leadership
  • Use software, technology, type, hand-lettering, and other artistic design tools to finalize copy, art, and layouts for various graphics projects
  • Photograph and illustrate as needed for projects
  • Work with printers, art services, outside vendors, and agencies to deliver projects on time, on budget, and at the highest quality
  • Maintain and grow technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications, attending online workshops and classes, etc.
  • Contribute to team efforts to accomplish design goals
  • Perform basic administrative and technical duties, as needed
  • Work cross-functionally, collaborating with internal and external team members
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Social Impact teams to develop and maintain a clear and consistent brand voice
  • Conduct research on impact needs, target audiences, past campaigns, visual identities to create assets for campaigns
  • Amend and revise creative pitches and images based on feedback from Social Impact and Marketing teams
  • Have their finger on the pulse of fresh, effective images and content that are breaking through the noise online—sharing these regularly with the larger Audience team
  • Support other duties and special projects, as assigned
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Strong graphic design and typography skills
  • Solid eye for detail and composition
  • Very familiar with various forms of social media
  • Ability to sketch and execute ideas quickly
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite—specifically, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects
  • Experience in branding/identity
  • HTML/CSS web design and AR Lens experience a plus
  • Editorial experience/interest would be helpful but not necessary
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills
  • Great collaborator
  • Creative thinking is a must
  • Monday to Friday
