Valerie Merut Consulting Ltd is seeking a sustainable travel-loving Social Media Manager or Junior Social Media Manager to help manage a growing number of social media clients.


  • 60 hours / month to start with (with potential for additional hours as we sign more clients)
  • Monday - Friday
  • Remote
  • Must be on EST or European time zone
  • Freelance
  • $30 per hour
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Opportunities and potential to take on more work if interested
  • Prepare for and attend monthly client content planning meetings
  • Build-out and maintain client social media content calendars in accordance with monthly planning meetings
  • Source imagery and videos for posts and stories
  • Create mockup grids for clients to preview their monthly content
  • Write engaging copy for all captions and stories with absolute attention to detail and grammar
  • Create reels as needed
  • Compile hashtag groups to match captions
  • Regularly monitor performance of all posts and stories across all accounts and think of new and inventive ways to improve social media performance for our clients
  • Compile monthly analytics report for clients
  • Work closely with the CEO, Account Manager and Community Manager to ensure client KPIs are reached.
  • Previous experience creating content and managing social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and if possible, TikTok ) for business purposes. Bonus points if that experience was in the hotel or travel industry
  • Slick copywriting skills with absolute attention to detail and grammar
  • Experience creating reels
  • Willingness to ask for what you need, speak up about your opinions and preferences, and bring new ideas to the table
  • You are passionate about sustainable travel - all of our clients are in this niche so it is crucial you understand the concept and are as passionate about it as we are
  • You leave and breathe social media, love reading up on the latest news and trends and thinking up new ideas for content
  • You love writing (it’s a major part of the role) and have a solid understanding of how to write copy that generates engagement and sales.
  • You are extremely organized, able to manage multiple clients and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • You strive for success - for yourself and for your clients!
