Zix | AppRiver is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to join our Strategic Accounts sales team. As a key member of the Sales organization, an RSM will be responsible for generating new Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) from new business opportunities and new products to existing install base customers, within the assigned geography. This position will be selling Zix | AppRiver’s email security and Microsoft solutions direct and through Zix’s VAR channel partners.


What you will be doing:

  • Exceeding annual sales quotas by prospecting and closing strategic deals from lead to close
  • Qualifying prospects using various sales methods (social, call, email, text, etc.)
  • Responsible for strategic and tactical territory planning
  • Develop a repeatable sales model that ensures consistent success and territory growth
  • Pipeline management; sales process management; and accurate forecasting
  • Onsite and or video conferencing meetings during the sales process to further qualify and advance the sales process
  • Effectively manage POC during the sales process
  • Development of best practices for leading successful sales campaigns
  • Devise creative, "out-of-the-box" ideas and implement them
  • Giving feedback to management


What experience and skills do we need you to have:

  • 5+ years of proven direct sales experience, preferred exposure to closing at the C-Level suite.
  • Previous SaaS security experience preferred.
  • Proven experience selling complex sales cycles within accounts with over 1,000 full-time employees.
  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Accurate forecasting capabilities throughout the sales cycle
  • CRM proficiency (Salesforce) very beneficial
  • Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management
  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional communication and consultative skills to employ solutions-based selling
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • Travel is required


For Colorado residents, this job is expected to pay in the range of $60,000 to $304,000 in addition to a comprehensive and competitive group benefit and healthcare plan. Individual compensation will be determined based on skills and experience comparable to the job requirements.
