Business Development Manager, Devices 🔥


SoundHound Inc. is at an inflection point in our 17-year history. We are building out our revenue team and sales and business development leaders joining us are going to be center stage in our success, by capitalizing on existing opportunities and building new businesses as we expand the SoundHound footprint within our current customers. We are turning the voice AI market around to be consumer and brand-focused, enabling hyper-efficient conversations that enable powerful outcomes. 

We are recruiting experienced business development savants to join the revenue team, reporting directly to the Director of Business Development, Devices and Media. In this high visibility role, you will create and drive key elements of SoundHound’s go-to-market strategy and plans within the Devices vertical. You will play a critical role working with existing partners as well as identify and close new opportunities to help further grow the SoundHound presence in this vertical. This role requires strengths in strategic thinking, business development, analytical & problem-solving skills, cross-group collaboration, and executive communication skills. In this role you will:

  • Help manage a pipeline of new and existing partners
  • Help identify, develop and close new business opportunities and strategic partnerships in the Devices vertical
  • Engage closely with product management, marketing, and engineering teams
  • Understand and analyze industry trends and competitive landscape to provide data-driven insights

We would love to hear from you if:

  • You have 7+ years of relevant industry experience
  • You have experience in the following areas:
    • You have experience working in a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities and customer needs
    • You have a proven track record of selling complex solutions, ideally in the SaaS space, to large, multinational companies
    • You excel at building strong internal cross-functional relationships with marketing, product, engineering, sales, legal and leadership teams
    • You love and are gifted at quickly analyzing sets of information to yield unique value propositions for prospective partners and customers
  • You have a track record of increasing revenue through lead generation
  • You have the ability to work independently to meet deadlines
  • Organized, capable of handling multiple tactical items while never losing sight of longer-term strategic goals
  • An influential leader with outstanding people skills, including managing internal and external clients
  • Strategically agile self-starter who can work independently and in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
