JOB TITLE: Web Developer

REPORTS TO: Director of Technology Solutions

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

JOB LEVEL: 4

PAY RANGE: $75,000-$85,000

LOCATION: Dallas, TX - Remote


This position is responsible for advanced programming languages and methodologies while working with internal and external resources to design, develop, and deploy systems and projects. Some of the responsibilities for this position include designing, planning and implementing the technology architecture system, analyzing business requirements to develop solutions that integrate with current systems, and gathering and analyzing technical information for designing new systems and changes to existing systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and optimize the software and architecture related to Web (ASP.NET MVC), Sitefinity and associated CMS platforms. (50%)
  • implement web content and UX application to mpi.org. (20%)
  • Support MPI chapters by resolving requests submitted through the web ticket portal. (20%)
  • Perform quality assurance on web and client server applications. (5%)
  • Assist in developing best practices and methodologies for web development environment (SDLC). (5%)

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide on-call support as needed on evenings, weekends and during emergencies.




EXPERIENCE

  • Five or more years of software development experience or equivalent including:
  • Microsoft language platform to include the .Net 4.6 framework with Visual Basic/C#, .Net Core, MVC and Web Forms applications in a Visual Studio Team Services environment
  • Developing for MS SQL Server 2008 and higher databases
  • HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, SASS, XML, Bootstrap, Angular and JavaScript for web development
  • Any experience with Identity Server is also a plus
  • EDUCATION
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer or decision science, or equivalent competencies

  • SKILLS
    • Proficient in current coding methodologies to include Agile, RUP, Iterative software practices, and coding for Microsoft platforms include .Net 4.6 in MVC and Web Forms using VB and C#.
    • Proficient in working with and developing for Sitefinity 10 CMS and its associated technologies such as MVC Feather.
    • Proficient in developing and debugging code for ASP.NET OAuth Authentication server.
    • Proficient in developing, modifying, and debugging web services using WEB API, SOAP, and REST.
    • Proficient in developing, modifying, and debugging console applications written in C# linked to automated tasks on web servers.
    • Proficient in writing and debugging MS SQL queries for testing and debugging ASP.NET applications.
    • Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner when there are changes in workload, assignments, pressures of deadlines, competing requirements and heavy workload. Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
    • Ability to speak on a one-to-one basis to obtain information, explain policies, procedures and persuade others to accept or adopt a specific opinion or action. Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
    • Skill in writing concise, logical, grammatically correct analytical and technical reports.
    • Conflict resolution skills – Negotiates and resolves conflicts among team members and cross-functional partners. Stays composed during controversy.
