Position Title: Associate – Social Media Channels (P1-3) Summary of Position The position will provide day-to-day implementation for Lilly’s corporate social channels, with the goal of enhancing our presence in the global digital environment and advancing our business priorities around the world. To maintain a competitive advantage for Lilly’s digital presence and campaigns, the role will collaborate cross-functionally with various contributors regarding the digital environment and coordinate day-to-day execution of social media content on corporate channels. In addition, the position will provide regular metrics and analysis with the goal of continuously improving content and engagement. This individual will be an administrator of Lilly’s global social media channels, and also serve as a key backup to the website team. The position is located in Indianapolis with possibility for remote work, reporting to the Channels Director. Key Objectives/Deliverables
  • Collaborate closely with the Creative, Content and Channel teams, as well as the Global Enterprise and Reputation teams, business communicators, subject matter experts and project managers to deliver work that aligns to Lilly’s objectives and drives results.
  • Consult with key business partners on digital content strategies to ensure they ladder up to overall company objectives, brand guidelines and meet channel scope requirements.
  • Work with those who provide content to ensure submitted content is optimized for web and social channels.
  • In partnership with the Channels Director, coordinate day-to-day execution of social media content on corporate channels, ensuring that the channels meet Lilly documentation requirements and platform standards and strategy.
  • Serve as a primary administrator for corporate social media channels, and assist with training others.
  • Coordinate and direct community management and social listening duties with agency partners.
  • Work with social media agency to create regularly scheduled organic social media updates on monitoring and metrics, and provide insights to leadership and communications colleagues.
  • Create and share a quarterly Point of View on social media content performance, based in metrics.
  • Serve as a back-up author and publisher in Lilly.com’s content management system.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, communications, marketing communications, public relations or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of agency and/or in-house experience working with corporate websites, social media platform and a social management tool.
  • Community Management experience.
  • Experience with content management systems and UX design principles.

  • Demonstrated ability to apply practical or technical knowledge where no direction is given.
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and deal with rapidly changing priorities and timelines.
  • Knowledge and understanding of key marketplace factors for pharmaceuticals, as well as critical business issues and drivers.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to think quickly, analytically to accommodate a dynamic communications environment.
  • Understanding of and experience with CMS and UX design principles.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, respond well to feedback and keep a positive attitude.

Additional Information
  • Some international and domestic travel expected as conditions and business need arise.
  • Located in Indianapolis or telecommute from other US location.
