Our exciting global SaaS client is hiring!

This is a great opportunity to join our growing customer marketing team, a big area of focus for the company in 2022.

Our Customer Marketing team is responsible for nurturing customer growth and relationships by delivering clear, relevant, and concise communications to our customers. The Customer Communications Email Writer will be tasked with managing the customer facing voice of our email and other customer-facing communications. This individual will help define the voice and tone for a variety of email communications including product notifications, account management outreach, product and event promotion, customer lifecycle, and more.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in customer engagement and retention programs and will help define and improve our messaging and communications. In addition to being an outstanding writer, you are extremely organized and able to manage multiple projects at one time. You have strong project management skills and always keep the customer in the forefront of all you do and see opportunities for improvement in every interaction with a customer.

Responsibilities:

  • Build extensive knowledge in transactional tax and the customer journey, products, and promotional efforts.
  • Research, write, and edit email communications for the customer marketing team, including:
  • Product updates – Timely communication with our customers is critical to product use and our customer promise. These communications can be urgent in nature or provide key updates for products and new features.
  • Customer onboarding – Onboarding customers with our product quickly and seamlessly is key to their success and our onboarding emails provide the framework for getting customers up and running with our solutions.
  • Customer lifecycle – Lifecycle emails keep our customers informed and up to date with account changes/account management updates (whether from corporate or account owners), renewals, or other factors affecting their account.
  • Promotional – Customer events and educational content help educate our customers.
  • Educational – Tax legislation is constantly changing; our customers need to stay informed of legislative changes that may impact their compliance obligations.
  • Review and improve materials written by internal and third-party resources, ensuring the Company brand, voice, and tone are consistent
  • Work with internal product, legal, compliance, and editorial teams to ensure email content is accurate, clear, and concise for our customers.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization, clarity, and improvement across existing email communications.
QUALIFICATIONS
    • Minimum 5-7 years content development experience (content writer, editorial writer, copywriter)
    • Minimum 3-5 years focused on customer engagement and communications
    • Portfolio or website with extensive writing samples
    • Experience working on customer retention and/or customer experience programs
    • Strong project management skills, including meeting deadlines through effective prioritization
    • Strategic marketing work experience (focus on B2B)
    • Bachelor of Arts degree
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent proofreading skills
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent grasp of marketing, product management, and sales concepts
    • Ability to think and plan strategically
    • Ability to work well independently and collaborate effectively with a team
    • Ability to prioritize projects, work effectively with stakeholders, and complete tasks by meeting timelines and goals
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
    • Tech savvy:
  • Strong knowledge of computer basics as well as very strong understanding of Google Docs and Microsoft Office Suite (O365)
  • Working knowledge of project management tools (Jira or Workfront)
  • Experience working with team collaboration and planning tools (Slack, Miro, Monday.com)
    • Deep understanding of using the Web as a research tool
    • Ability to review and edit digital presentations and utilize spreadsheets
