The responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will range from general accounting activities, more technical accounting areas, and special projects including process improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of month end general ledger entries
  • Preparation of general ledger account reconciliations
  • Perform accounting processes related to the bank’s system which tracks incoming and outgoing payments.
  • Assist with management of month-end close process
  • Variance analysis and other financial analysis of reported results
  • Accounting for leases
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP
  • Working knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and key internal controls applicable to accounting area
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Word
  • Experience in LeasePlus, IBS, Great Plains, PowerBI
  • SQL query skills a plus
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong oral and written interpersonal skills; able to cultivate relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization

Industry and Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years professional accounting experience required
  • Financial institution accounting experience a plus


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Master’s degree in Accounting or MBA a plus


  • Preferred in Orange County, CA
