Summary: Prepares and maintains financial records of the company and performs day-to-day general accounting functions. Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for accounts payable functions including but not limited to verifying invoices and entering data into the accounting system. Responsible for accounts receivable functions including but not limited to applying payments to appropriate accounts, invoicing, reconciling customer accounts, and handling customer inquiries. Prepares/assist with general ledger journal entries, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliation. Supports the generation of monthly financial statements. Ensures that all financial deadlines are met for month-end close. Assists with ad hoc analysis and reporting. Provides support for the annual financial statement audit. Performs daily banking procedures. Maintains fixed asset and related depreciation schedules. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns. Assists with payroll and serves as a backup. Reviews and analyzes the organization's accounting operation; recommends improvements. Assists with related special projects as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
