Cost Analyst – Possible Remote Options 🔥
KBR is seeking a Program Planning & Control Analyst for the Science and Space Business unit. The Program Planning & Control Analyst will support KBR contracts (primarily Federal Government customers) and will be primarily responsible for Program Planning and Control. The Program Planning & Control Analyst will report directly to the Project Controls Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and control baseline forecasts and budgets.
- Prepare budget profit and loss variance explanations
- Evaluate actual cost trends against budget with ability to recommend any forecast adjustments
- Identify potential program financial risks to elevate to management
- Monitor schedule/milestones to facilitate adjustments to estimates to complete and process scope changes.
- Prepare and deliver customer report deliverables per the contract terms and conditions.
- Analyze/modify cost estimates and re-baseline programs as required.
- Prepare forecasts using program resource estimates with appropriately applied rates and factors.
- Knowledge of project management, scheduling, and control account planning concepts.
- Knowledge of direct and indirect costs
- Develop price/cost estimates utilizing established pricing concepts and applications.
- Application of FAR, CAS and government accounting standards.
- Develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), perform maintenance and charge number control.
- Perform moderately complex accounting and analytical tasks, including transaction processing, account reconciliation and analysis.
- Analyze program funding requirements and track subcontractor costs & fee.
- Assist in developing presentations and reports for internal and external customers.
- Track, trend, forecast and analyze subcontractor and vendor invoices.
- Develop and carry out long- and short-term objectives and balance multiple priorities.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex problems independently.
- Be able to present monthly reports to corporate executives, management and or government personnel
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance
- 3 to 4 years of finance and government program experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of basic program management concepts (budgets, estimate to complete, project schedules, etc.).
- Knowledge of project management, scheduling, and control account planning concepts is preferred
- Experience with COBRA, Costpoint, COGNOS systems or other MPM tools is preferred
- Experience with 533 Monthly Contractor Financial Management Report is preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
