Job Description:

  • On-board and engage a large volume of new business clients, as well as existing accounts that are less active than desired
  • Managing over 500+ trade accounts
  • Be responsible for making 30+ outbound calls a day
  • Learn how to make an outbound call leading with value statements
  • Develop business relationships with these accounts to increase order frequency and sales volume of the account
  • Explore our products and services with customers and help them make buying decisions, through upselling and cross-selling
  • Maximize profitability through price negotiation and proactively selling high margin Lamps Plus exclusive products
  • Uncover customers’ needs and purchasing objections, finding appropriate product and pricing solutions to overcome objections
  • Efficiently manage your time and always put the customer experience first
  • Increase share of wallet by understanding customer total project and assortment needs, maximizing the share of project budget spent with Lamps Plus
  • Meet or exceed all targets for revenue, talk time and outbound dials
  • Effectively use tools to communicate with your books of business via phone and email

Job Requirements:

  • Hardworking and resilient attitude with a strong desire to build relationships through technology
  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in a solutions-based selling environment
  • A solutions-oriented approach with the goal of building customer loyalty
  • The ability to embrace and implement feedback to adopt new skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Confidence in asking clients for their business
  • Ability to drive results, metrics, and key performance indicators
  • You have proven success managing the sales cycle in a customer facing role
  • Highly motivated by being an industry leader
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Microsoft suite experience (Outlook, PowerPoint, excel)
  • Hard and soft phone experience
  • Experience with a CRM tool
  • Ability to work a 40-hour work week
  • Regular attendance in the workplace is required

Clients you will work with

Architectural Firms, Contractors, Interior Designer, Property Management, and Real Estate Developer who have signed or enrolled into our Lamps Plus Pros program and have spent less than $10K with Lamps Plus.

Typical Duties

  • Make 30+ outbound sales calls a day to build client base
  • Interfaces with various clients to help solve their furniture and lighting needs.
  • Build a business relationship with clients so they trust you to help solve their lighting and home decor needs
  • Using your phone or email you will help serve the client all solutions that Lamps Plus can offer to a Pro customer
  • Pitch, sell and close clients on Lamps Plus pro over the competition
  • Assist the client on proactive updates regarding stock, payment, status of an order
  • Interfaces with buyers on product/part availability, product/part information, cost, deliveries and inventories on a daily basis.
  • Respectfully communicates with the department supervisor
  • Communicates with Management on any issues, discrepancies and programming glitches affecting the Pro’s department.
  • Handles customers with care, empathy and sincerity regarding their issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Work Environment

This job is a fully remote role working from home. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. This is a 100% commission job with guarantees for the first 6-12 months.

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, constant phone and computer use is required. This would require constant operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, telephone, and computer printer. The applicant should be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
