Job Description
Are you a social studies teacher or subject matter expert looking for a creative outlet to earn some extra money? A Pass Educational Group is seeking writers, developmental editors, instructional designers, and subject matter experts to create lesson content, assessment items, and course development for social studies grades 3-12. Grades 3-12 social studies classroom experience, course development experience, and assessment development experience a must! This is a 100% remote, work-from-anywhere contract position.
Details:
- Contract, this is an independent contractor position
- $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on role and project
- 8-12 hours per week
- 100% remote, work from anywhere position
- An A Pass writing sample is required* to move forward in the application process*
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in education, social studies, or similarly relevant subject area
- Classroom experience at grade level(s) is recommended; 3+ years of classroom experience preferred
- 3+ years of teaching/curriculum development experience with US-based/state standards preferred
- Previous experience writing benchmark-aligned content and assessment items preferred; 1+ years experience with item writing development preferred
- Preference will be given to applicants with experience in [state] standards and assessment
- Classroom teaching and Google Drive navigation are distinctly advantageous!
