Customer Support Engineer 🔥


This position for an experienced Customer Support Engineer. This role will involve direct communications with customers and field team members to resolve issues surrounding installation, usage, upgrade and training on products. The Customer Support Engineer will provide on-site support as needed. This position is remote, however, the preferred candidate will need sit within one of the following locations: Utah, Nevada, Western Colorado, Northern Arizona.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide Technical support to authorized Collins Aerospace dealers and Operators in need of troubleshooting assistance.

  • Provide installation and engineering interface assistance for Collins Aerospace Dealers.

  • Analyzes and interprets test information to resolve moderate design/system related problems.

  • Develops specialized product knowledge and may perform diagnostic procedures.

  • Act as single point of contact for Collins Aerospace product support. CSE is the face representing Collins Aerospace to our customers. We also represent the customer to our Product Support team to ensure customers and dealers expectations are met with timely service. CSEs manage the relationship between Dealers/Operators and Collins.

  • Provide operational assistance for operators new to our systems.

  • May resolve technical problems in a help desk environment or through customer escalation.

  • Complete proper documentation of issues.

  • Coordinate with other Customer Service representative to identify customer training and support needs.

  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Manager’s to ensure customers’ needs are met as well as help with our annual sales goals.

  • Typically, this position will require about 50 percent travel.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.

  • Must be located in one of the following locations: Utah, Nevada, Western Colorado, Northern Arizona.

  • Ability to meet travel requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Seven years of Avionics experience is preferred in either an Avionics Technician and/or Customer Support capacity.
