Position Overview

Our team is hiring a full-time Sales Development Representative who is invested in our mission and is eager to shape the future of K12 computer science education. We are seeking a committed, hard-working individual to join us in our pursuit of an ambitious goal. The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will generate new business opportunities by following proven processes to prospect into K12 Schools and Districts. You’ll learn how to identify, understand and research schools and districts to target, and how to develop campaigns to generate new business opportunities. This team member is self-directed, goal-oriented, and can effectively collaborate with a team. This position has advancement potential within the Sales organization - your ideas and innovation will drive the company’s success and sales infrastructure in the long-term.

What you’ll do:

  • Prospect across schools and districts with outbound cold-calling, email campaigns, social media and pre-qualifying incoming leads to build pipeline and book meetings
  • Thoroughly research funding sources, key initiatives and needs by region and state to identify targets
  • Leverage your Hubspot CRM experience and sales process training to tactfully manage a pipeline to meet, track and exceed team goals
  • Identify best practices to refine the company’s lead generation playbook
  • Possess a deep understanding of Hello World CS offerings and differentiators
  • Be a storyteller in the seat of a teacher, administrator and student for a consultative approach
  • Conduct research on target audience to align to outbound strategies and data harvest contact information for outreach
  • Support various conferences to help drive attendance and leads
  • 2+ year of sales related experience
  • Strong organization skills, an understanding of how to optimally manage time to ensure work is completed and goals are met
  • Effective interpersonal skills on the phone and video conference - an individual who can think on their feet and adapt to new technology
  • A passion for a sales career in education and willingness to be mentored
