Organization Overview

As part of the software sales team, lead and implement industry focused, consultative, and valuable software sales engagements (typically medium size engagements) through productive business relationships with customers and prospects. Using appropriate methods, lead the development and execution of financially quantified value propositions, business cases and solution visions specific to a customer or prospect, and provide input into the formation of a cohesive customer sales strategy, to support the sale of software. Build trusted advisor status by communicating knowledgeably with the customer around business challenges, industry trends, competitor landscapes and wider interfaces, through the delivery of thought leadership. Speak with authority, articulating Siemens SISWs vision and point of view on solution adoption to deliver competitive advantage. Work largely undertaken by developing customer relationships through face-to-face contact and site visits to facilitate future software sales. Works on projects/assignments of complex scope. Provides guidance and mentoring within country to others on the capabilities and business value of a single product or solution.

Job Profile/Position Overview

  • Individual PreSales Lead for medium sized engagements within an industry segment, or acts as part of a team on larger opportunities
  • Lead and implement consultative sales engagements using available methods & tools to assess a prospect’s business condition and recommend appropriate courses of action.
  • Be fully versed in the country Software forecast and pipeline for key accounts, work with the Services Business Consultants, and Sales Account Manager to find opportunities to widen the software footprint within these customers and actively support the close of software business
  • As an integral part of the Siemens SISW bid proposal and benchmark teams, liaise across the sales, presales and services functions to provide oversight and consultancy for, and communicate a clear vision of, the proposed solution.
  • Build trusted advisor status by communicating knowledgably with the customer around business challenges, industry trends, competitor landscapes and wider interfaces, through the delivery of thought leadership, and speaking with authority, articulating Siemens SISW's vision and point of view on SISW product adoption to deliver competitive advantage
  • Work with strategic customers to understand their business strategy and development a high level customer vision and business case that resolves identified business pain and uses SISW technology as a business enabler and source of competitive advantage, in conjunction with PreSales Solution Architect and Sales representative

Responsibilities/Tasks

  • Lead the development and presentation of value propositions specific to a customer or prospect in sales campaigns, and for all other SISW industry interests
  • Contribute to the project kick off meeting to ensure successful hand-over and transition to the professional services team, providing all internal SISW
  • Lead and deliver software demonstrations to clients
  • Builds custom demonstrations, when necessary
  • Support account managers in sales effort
  • Attends trade shows
  • Responds to Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Conduct “site survey assessments” to document current state, challenges with current state and map to be state for clients
  • Understand and explain the value of the solution stack to clients

Minimum Requirements

NOTE: Applicants will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the USA. Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the USA.

  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge of Manufacturing Operations Management and IIOT
  • At least 5+ years of experience in designing and selling software solution for MOM, IIOT
  • Must be open to an average of 30% - 50% travel, mostly domestic
  • Must be able to work remote (virtual office)
  • Must have self learning abilities
  • Must currently reside in the continental United States
  • Will not need any immigration related support or sponsorship from SIEMENS in order to begin employment. This includes support (such as J-1, F-1 CPT letter or STEM OPT Training Plan), visa sponsorship for employment (H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, O-1, or TN), and any EAD holders that will need longer term employment authorization.

The following requirements are a plus:

  • Good presentation skills to a wide variety of audience
  • Technical skills such as knowledge of relational databases
  • Report writing skills with PowerBI and Tableu
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Knowledge of Low Code Platform
  • Understand and working experience with newer big data technologies, IoT experience
  • Previous job with similar responsibilities
