WHY THE LYCRA COMPANY?:

Since its invention over sixty years ago, LYCRA® fiber has set the standard as the world’s first original spandex fiber brand. While our fiber is lightweight and nearly invisible, it makes all the difference in clothing. The unique stretch properties of LYCRA® fiber provide a comfortable, lasting fit to help you look and feel your best.

Many of the world’s leading brands in leggings, activewear, denim, swimwear and intimate apparel use our fibers in their collections. We lead the way in innovative technologies that help these brands deliver transformative apparel that you have come to know and most likely wear! Additionally, at The LYCRA Company, we are committed to helping to advance the circular economy as we look to develop products and processes that use less energy and resources. Our sustainability platform known as Planet Agenda is based on the belief that to have a healthy business, we must have a healthy planet.

We have recently embarked on a fantastic digital journey at The LYCRA Company to build the best experience in the apparel industry for brands of all sizes to source fabrics from some of the best mills in the world who use our fibers in the design of their fabrics. We want to provide not just a sourcing opportunity, but a virtual universe that allows these brands to test, try, research, and facilitate the purchase of these fabrics.

This is NOT another “digital transformation,” but a serious commitment strategically and financially in building a digital business unit that drives significant revenue for the company. Our CEO and the Global Leadership Team are all “in” on this objective!
