Greenstaff Medical Staffing is seeking a dynamic Financial Controller to report to our corporate office in Texas. The Financial Controller will report to the current Finance Director of the US.

Job Purpose:

The Financial Controller provides the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure the responsible accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.

Key responsibilities:

Management

  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • Manage outsourced functions and lead internal finance and audit team (offshore)
  • Oversee the operations of the department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
  • Provide appropriate training to the finance team
  • Manage the departmental budgets, the review of appropriation requests against approved budgets for availability of funds prior to commitment, and oversee control to ensure that budgeted expenditures do not exceed amounts authorized
  • Interpret operating results as they affect financial aspects of the business and recommend measures to reduce costs and increase profits. Implement financial improvements to increase the organization's effectiveness and contribute to customer satisfaction
  • Develops and maintains internal control guidelines and policies and procedures for accounting, budgeting, cash management and reporting
  • Provide financial advice to senior executives on issues of major significance that may impact current and future business and the Company's profitability and reputation. Direct the preparation of statistics for financial statements, including preparation of charts and graphs depicting progress, conditions and results, and related reports and recommendations

  • Reviewing and ensuring appropriate accounting policies in line with changing accounting standards.
  • Continually reviewing and developing financial and other controls to safeguard assets.
  • Maintain GAAP and compliance with regulatory and reporting agencies
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions

Reporting

  • Ensure reporting such as month end, and all filing is completed and submitted on time
  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately and timely on a weekly basis
  • Ensure that required disbursements are made on a timely basis
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements
  • Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of employee and company operations
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
  • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
  • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management

Compliance

  • Coordinate the provision of information to auditors for the annual audit and other ad hoc audits
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

Qualifications:

· Bachelor of Accounting, Finance or Business,

· CPA desired

· NAVISION experience desired

· Strong leadership skills

The Financial Controller candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience and 5+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation. Preference will be given to candidates with a Certified Public Accountant license.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
