As a Copywriter, you will be at the heart of our content development engine. Sitting in the global content team, you'll be responsible for crafting content from blogs on the latest financial crime news stories to video scripts and our long-form market research reports.

We're looking for someone who is excited about the power of content, and keen to collaborate with a tight-knit team on how ComplyAdvantage can continue to create smart, exciting and original content. As such while copywriting would be your primary responsibility, we're keen to hire someone who is also engaged with the analytics that sit behind everything we create.

About us

Since launching in 2014, we have been on a mission to neutralize the risk of money laundering, terrorist financing, corruption, and other financial crime on a global scale. In that time, we have raised over $100m in funding, have four global hubs located in New York, London, Singapore and Cluj-Napoca and are backed by Ontario Teachers', Index Ventures, Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs.

We aim to grow to over 500 employees in the next 12 months, as we continue to fight the good fight against financial crime and help make compliance less painful for our client base of over 1000 enterprises across 200 different countries. The Role

We are looking for a copywriter to join our rapidly growing marketing team. Your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Liaising with our marketing teams in Europe, the US and Asia Pacific on their content needs, and gathering a clear brief from them on their content requirements.
  • Working with the Senior Content Manager on the global editorial calendar, prioritizing projects and keeping the marketing team updated proactively.
  • Owning our day-to-day editorial content development, including our weekly blogs on the latest financial crime news stories.
  • Leading on copywriting for video scripts, case studies, infographics and reports. This may include interviewing customers or subject matter experts to gather information.
  • Collaborating with the wider content team on how we maximize the value and impact of every piece of content we create - e.g. through optimizing for SEO, updating top performing evergreen pieces or converting video/audio content into written articles.

What does success look like after 3 months?

  • You're producing a regular cadence of written content, aligned to our company's editorial point of view, solutions and customer challenges.
  • You're becoming more familiar with the profile of our customers, and are involved in preparing for interviews with customers and subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • You're bringing new ideas and fresh perspectives to the content we create, helping us to enrich our existing materials and invest our time and expertise more strategically.

Who we are looking for

We're looking for a smart and motivated individual who takes pride in their work and contributes to an informal working environment. You will be confident in your ability to deliver on the points covered above, taking into account the following:

  • Experience in a copywriting role, or a marketing consultant role with a strong copywriting component to it.
  • An understanding of how content enables the user journey, and the appropriate level of detail/information to include for different formats and audiences.
  • Comfortable creating content in multiple formats, both short-form and long-form.
  • A good eye for detail, and an ability to proofread well to ensure all the content we produce aligns with our style guide.
  • Experience collaborating with multiple internal stakeholders, and an ability to prioritize support requests, sometimes shifting priorities at short notice when necessary.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, where you will be required to be flexible to the marketing team's changing needs.
  • A team player - you enjoy working with others, and understand the unique value each member of the team can bring to the content we create.
  • Understands how content and design work together, and how to brief designers effectively in order to bring more visual content pieces to life.
  • Good working knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Curious, and keen to ensure our content reflects the latest industry best practices.
  • Preferred: Experience working with content analytics and social listening platforms, or at least an interest in becoming familiar with these.
  • Preferred: Prior experience copywriting for financial services, fintech or compliance audiences.
