You’ll take as many as 50-70 calls per day from members who have questions about their prescriptions, and you’ll use your personality and our tools to make each call successful. This position is full-time (40 hours/week). Employees are required to have flexibility to work any shift schedule during our normal business hours and may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.


MUST be able to work ANY shift schedule after 8 weeks of Training/Nesting, within the following hours of operation:


5 AM – 7 PM M-F and 6 AM – 5 PM Sat, Pacific


6 AM – 8 PM M-F and 7 AM – 6 PM Sat, Mountain


7 AM – 9 PM M-F and 8 AM – 7 PM Sat, Central


8 AM – 10:00 PM M-F and 10 AM – 8 PM Sat, Eastern

TRAINING:


MUST be able to attend ALL sessions as scheduled of 6-week classroom training (attendance and punctuality is required for successful completion of training), to include 2-week on the job training.


Hours are Mon – Fri:


6:30 AM – 3 PM Pacific


7:30 AM – 4 PM Mountain


8:30 AM – 5 PM Central


9:30 AM – 6 PM Eastern

  • All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming calls from our customers on issues related to benefit eligibility questions and prescription status inquiries
  • Guide and educate callers on their prescription benefits, use of plan, formulary, premiums and status of orders and claims or inquiries
  • Ask appropriate questions and listen actively while documenting required information in computer systems
  • Identify issues and communicate solutions and steps to customers, pharmacies and physicians with prescription orders and reorders
  • May make outbound calls to customers or doctor’s offices, as needed, while assisting your inbound caller

  • This role is equally challenging and rewarding. You’ll be called on to research complex issues pertaining to member prescription and/or pharmacy benefits across multiple databases which requires fluency in computer navigation and toggling while you confidently, multi-tasking while on the phone with caller, and compassionately engaging with the caller throughout the call.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)

  • 1+ years of Customer Service Experience
  • Bilingual fluency in English / Spanish

  • Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Ability to work ANY shift schedule after 8 weeks of Classroom Training & On the Job Training within the following hours of operation: 5 AM – 7 PM M-F and 6 AM – 5 PM Sat, Pacific; 6 AM – 8 PM M-F and 7 AM – 6 MS PM Sat, Mountain; 7 AM – 9 PM M-F and 8 AM – 7 PM Sat, Central; 8 AM – 10:00 PM M-F and 10 AM – 8 PM Sat, Eastern.   • Ability to attend ALL sessions as scheduled of 6-week training (attendance and punctuality is required for successful completion of training) and 2-weeks of On the Job Training from July 18, 2022 – September 9, 2022. Hours are Mon – Fri: 6:30 AM – 3 PM Pacific; 7:30 AM – 4PM Mountain; 8:30 AM – 5 PM Central; 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern


Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service


Soft Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to listen skillfully, collect relevant information, build rapport, and respond to customers in a compassionate manner

  • Proficient conflict management skills to resolve issues in a stressful situation

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $15.00 - $22.02. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $15.00 - $24.13.
